Last Day for Sale-a-Bration...

and free products! This card is based on a sketch by Alex Hobson for a Stampin' Connection challenge. I used three products that you can still get for free today with a $65.00 order. Thank You Kindly has four really pretty Thank You sentiments in different fonts. The Scallop Trim Border punch will be in the upcoming catalogue, but you can get it for free now! A Flower For All Season is one of the regular catalogue stamp sets that you can choose for your free Sale-a-Bration item (any of them under $20.95). It has four images that are great for colouring with Blender Pens or markers or could be watercoloured too. You can see all the products you can get for free by clicking the Sale-a-Bration image in my sidebar (to the left).

If you're Canadian and you don't have a local demonstrator you can order from my website and have your order shipped right to you! Just go to http://www.lizgoldhawk.stampinup.net/ and click the Shop Now button in the top left area of the page.

Fun Flowers Class - Crumpled Flower

Another card from my Fun Flowers Class this weekend... we're making the crumpled flower accent using the Extra Large Fancy Flower punch, Define Your Life stamp set, Melon Mambo ink (sponged on) and Champagne Mist shimmer paint. The centre is one of the Chocolate Chip Epoxy brads from the Occasions Mini. I've made it into an Easter card, but I'll have all my sentiments available for everyone to personalize it for the occasion they'd prefer.

I still have 3 spots left at my 1:00pm class on Sunday and 2 left at 7:00pm if you'd like to make this card. Please contact me for more details!

Fun Flowers Class - Pretties Fabric flower

This is another card from my Fun Flowers class coming up this weekend. I used the fabric flower from the Pretties kit. These are great, because you can dye them with re-inkers (or just the classic inkpads if you don't mind inky fingers) or stamp them to match your project. The Medallion is 'kissed' with the Sanded Background, and I used the Kraft Corduroy brad and black Jumbo Grommet for my flower centre. The sentiment is from Well Scripted from the Occasions Mini catalogue.

I still have a few spots left in my classes this weekend, so if you'd like to make this card let me know!

Fun Flowers Class - Felt

This weekend is my Fun Flowers class... we're making five cards with different flowers. We're using some pre-made flowers and making some flowers for these cards. I've made some of them into Easter cards, since that's coming up soon, but I will have all my sentiments available so you can make them into Mother's Day cards or any other occasion you want.

This first card uses the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt flowers from the Occasions Mini. This is so quick and easy, because the embellishments are pre-stitched, so you just attach them onto the card! The card design is from the Clean and Simple Blog Fall-to-Layout #78

If you'd like to make this card (and the four others I'll post throughout this week) here are the details:

5 Cards for $10.00 - three class times for your convenience
Sunday, March 28th @ 1:00pm
Sunday, March 28th @ 7:00pm
Monday, March 29th @ 7:00pm
Please register at least 24 hours before the class you'd like to attend! Let me know if you want more details or information.

Shadow Stamping Card 2 - Pocket Silhouettes

This is the second card for my Technique Class this month. It shows a variation of the Shadow Stamping technique... I stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink on Kraft cardstock (any light neutral would work), and then used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line the image up again, slightly off the white image, and stamped each image with a different colour.

After that, it's a pretty simple card... some torn Sweet Pea paper, a ribbon knot and a stamped sentiment! I have two spots available in my 1:00pm class tomorrow, so give me a shout if you'd like to come and make this card!

Supplies: Stamps (Pocket Silhouettes, Thank You Kindly), Inks (Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Whisper White Craft); Cardstock (Kraft, Naturals White); Sweet Pea Designer Paper Stack, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-Jig

Fox & Friends Class - MYO patterned paper

This is the third card from my Fox & Friends class (free if you purchase the Fox & Friends stamp set from me). It's based on a sketch from the Clean & Simple Blog: Fall to Layout #63

I created my own 'patterned paper' using three ink colours and three stamps from the Fox & Friends set and stamped them onto Kraft cardstock. I punched the V out of my sentiment tag with the 1 1/4" square punch. I'm

Sketch #84

This week's sketch is for an 8.5x11 layout, but it would be easily adapted to 12x12 (and you could fit another picture or two in there too).

and here's my layout:

I am in love with the Sweet Pea DSP pack from the Occasions Mini catalogue... I love the colour combinations, the patterns, and I love all the paper choices there are in that one pack! If you create a layout using this sketch, I'd love to see it! Link me up in the comments...

Supplies (all SU!): Stamps (Medallion, Define Your Life, Schoolbook Serif Alphabet); Inks (Chocolate Chip, Old Olive); Cardstock (Old Olive, Kraft); Other (Sweet Pea DSP pack, Lots of Tags Sizzlets, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon).

Fox & Friends Class - Swinging Monkeys

This is another card from my Fox & Friends class this weekend. I've seen the monkeys swinging from branches a few places and love the way it looked. I used the Two-Step Bird punch from the Occasions Mini for the branches, and just coloured the part of the tail that hooked over the branch with a Stampin' Write marker. If you're Canadian, and you'd like to get this card kit for free, you can order the Fox & Friends stamp set from my website (http://www.lizgoldhawk.stampinup.net/ - click the 'Shop Now' button) or contact me to buy the kit for $10.00. Everything is cut for you, and it comes with instructions, so you just need inks and sentiment stamps to complete the cards.

Supplies: Stamps (Fox & Friends, FYI); Ink (Soft Suede); Cardstock (Kraft, Naturals Ivory, Old Olive); Sweet Pea paper pack, Two-Step Bird punch

Fox & Friends card class

This is one of the cards we'll be making in my Fox & Friends card class this weekend. I was inspired by a sketch on the Clean & Simple Stamping blog (FTL #60).

I have three class times (Sunday March 7th @ 1:00pm & 7:00pm and Monday March 8th @ 7:00pm) and I'm also doing this class To Go. Everything will be cut and ready for you to stamp and assemble with instructions and pictures. If I mail the kit, I just ask you to pay the postage. You can e-mail me if you're interested in getting the To-Go kit (available to Canadians only) or order the Fox & Friends stamp set on my website (http://www.lizgoldhawk.stampinup.net/ - click the Shop Now button). Don't forget that it's still Sale-a-Bration this month, so with a $65.00 order, you get to choose a free Sale-a-Bration item too!

Sketch #83

The sketch for this week:

I was really liking the grid... I softened it a bit for my layout (8.5x8.5) with a corner rounder punch:

Supplies (all SU!): Stamps (Leaf Lines, Jumble Alphabet; Just Perfect Alphabet); Inks (Old Olive - craft & classic, Close to Cocoa - craft, Soft Suede); Cardstock (Soft Suede); Write Stuff Specialty paper pack, Corner Rounder punch, Blender Pen, Clear Stampin' Emboss powder.
